Responsibilities
- Perform independent manual, functional, UI, backend, and REST/SOAP API testing of enterprise and payment origination applications.
- Write test cases from requirements and user stories and create test plans, test strategies, testing timelines, and schedules.
- Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks and run regression tests to verify fixes and prevent regressions.
- Identify, document, analyze, and track defects using issue-tracking tools and participate in defect and testing meetings.
- Source, compile, and interpret test data, analyze accuracy and efficiency, and communicate testing results and metrics.
- Coordinate testing coverage and workstreams across teams and contribute to QA process and best-practice improvements.
- Collaborate with developers, product teams, QA members, Scrum teams, project managers, and product owners.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience testing enterprise applications.
- Experience with manual and automated testing of backend, UI, or both.
- Detailed knowledge of functional testing and REST and SOAP API testing.
- Strong knowledge of Java and additional knowledge of Python; OOP knowledge is preferred.
- Experience with Selenium, Postman, Git, Jira/Xray or other defect-tracking tools, and CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins.
- Knowledge of SQL, databases, web-services testing, SDLC, and test reporting and strategy.
- Experience or knowledge of Karate, Cucumber, RestAssured, NeoLoad, or JMeter is required or preferred as applicable.
- AWS or other cloud experience and a finance or payments background are beneficial.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
