Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Software Engineering, Product Management, UX Design, DevOps, Architecture, and Quality Engineering teams to maintain product quality.
- Analyze requirements, identify quality risks, and define validation scope.
- Create, maintain, and automate test cases.
- Design and execute functional, API, integration, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
- Develop and maintain UI automation using Selenium or Playwright and API automation using Rest Assured.
- Validate REST APIs, backend services, integrations, and API contracts.
- Use dependency mappings and impact matrices to identify affected services and validation requirements.
- Execute smoke, sanity, deployment, and release validation testing.
- Support application setup, deployment validation, and environment verification using Docker-based environments.
- Integrate automated validation into CI/CD pipelines and improve automation reliability and maintainability.
- Maintain traceability among requirements, tests, defects, and execution results.
- Participate in defect triage, risk reviews, release readiness, and sign-off activities.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
- Hands-on manual testing experience with web applications and enterprise software.
- Strong experience with UI, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience testing web, SaaS, cloud, or microservices-based applications.
- API testing experience using Postman, Swagger, or similar tools.
- Hands-on test automation experience with Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
- Programming or scripting knowledge in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python for automation development.
- Experience with defect management tools such as JIRA.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of backend data validation, cloud-based applications, and microservices architecture.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
