Responsibilities
- Gather and finalize requirements with business analysts, Salesforce administrators, developers, and business stakeholders.
- Design, develop, review, and maintain complex Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow automation, integrations, and Salesforce architecture.
- Build and govern AI-driven Salesforce agents and automations, including Agentforce solutions, prompt designs, guardrails, and output evaluation.
- Design scalable Salesforce data models and integrated solutions for a 2,000+ user organization.
- Resolve complex issues across Salesforce, Gainsight, Monday.com, Oracle Sales Cloud Incentive Comp, and related integrations.
- Apply coding standards, code reviews, release management, packaging, compliance, audit, and org governance practices.
- Use and evaluate AI-assisted development tools while ensuring generated code meets security, governor-limit, quality, and organizational standards.
- Write technical specifications, support testing and code coverage, and mentor and onboard junior software engineers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years building and supporting enterprise Salesforce implementations.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification; Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or System Architect certification is strongly preferred.
- Advanced Salesforce development knowledge, including Apex, SOQL/SOSL, bulkification, governor-limit-aware design, asynchronous processing, data modeling, sharing and security models, and large data volume design.
- Experience with Salesforce Connect, Platform Events, Change Data Capture, external objects, middleware such as MuleSoft, and REST/SOAP integrations.
- Expertise with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Aura, JavaScript, Flow, Flow Orchestrator, and related integration technologies; working knowledge of Java/J2EE, HTML, XML, SQL, and .NET.
- Hands-on experience with Agentforce, Salesforce native AI capabilities, prompt engineering, AI coding assistants, AI-generated code evaluation, and governed AI workflows.
- Knowledge of Salesforce release practices and CI/CD tooling such as Copado, Gearset, or Salesforce DX/SFDX pipelines.
- Knowledge of test-driven development, Apex unit testing, LWC Jest testing, and AI-assisted test generation.
- Strong communication, research, stakeholder collaboration, technical specification, and mentoring skills.
- Experience in regulated, audited, or compliance-driven release environments is preferred.
