Responsibilities
- Evaluate ambiguous product bets, compare technical approaches, build working examples, and communicate tradeoffs.
- Prototype frontier-AI capabilities, agents, and tooling patterns as working software inside Dia.
- Create prototypes with deliberate, explainable architecture that production teams can extend.
- Share explorations, learnings, approaches, and demos to influence product decisions.
- Improve prototyping and evaluation infrastructure so the team can explore and validate ideas faster.
- Work closely with the Model Behavior Lead, product leadership, and engineering leadership.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience building software.
- An engineering background or a product/design background with strong technical understanding.
- Demonstrated experience building real things with frontier models, such as agents, tools, prototypes, or shipped features.
- Ability to explain the reasoning behind experiments and work pragmatically on ambiguous problems.
- Strong learning, communication, and emotional-intelligence skills, with enthusiasm for a startup environment.
- At least 4 hours of overlap with teammates in the Eastern Time Zone.
- Previous founder experience is a plus.

- Hourly pay range of $100-$150 per hour.
