Senior .NET Developer
SS&C TechnologiesResponsibilities
- Lead collaboration across engineering, QA, Product, testers, and other supporting teams.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers on technical approaches, design patterns, and best practices.
- Conduct peer code reviews and promote engineering excellence, maintainability, scalability, and code quality.
- Own feature design and implementation from conception through production.
- Design, document, and communicate system solutions while balancing time, quality, cost, and performance.
- Coordinate complex multi-part technical tasks and contribute to technology strategy, innovation, and technical debt reduction.
- Develop thoroughly tested, production-ready code using modern development practices.
- Participate in an out-of-hours engineering on-call rotation approximately once every three to four weeks after training.
- Investigate and resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Develop mutual funds domain knowledge and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Deep technical expertise in C# .NET Core and related open source technologies.
- Experience with object-oriented design, SOA, design patterns, Microsoft SQL Server, relational database design, and SQL.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, web API design and implementation, concurrency, asynchrony, and parallelism.
- Strong understanding of version control, code reviews, continuous integration, and modern software development practices.
- Proven experience with Test Driven Development, unit testing frameworks, mocking frameworks, and testability patterns.
- Experience in the mutual funds industry or related financial services sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide other engineers.
- Desirable experience with TypeScript, single-page applications, responsive web development, Angular, NServiceBus, Azure Service Bus, Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, blockchain development, and cryptographic concepts.
- Knowledge of mutual fund trading, settlement, reconciliation, lifecycle management, and regulation is desirable.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, leadership, business awareness, and attention to detail.
