Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain distributed systems hosted in AWS.
- Guide engineers in writing maintainable code and following operational practices.
- Define solutions for processing varied content types with diverse ML solutions and application integrations.
- Improve system performance and operational costs.
- Research solutions for technically ambiguous problems.
- Lead architecture and design for new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
- Review peer code and design documents and provide feedback on software architecture, scalability, and security.
- Implement critical code paths, coordinate delegated work, and advise management on technical trade-offs and product direction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object-oriented design.
- Experience leading the architecture and design of new and current systems, including architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Master’s degree in computer science or equivalent is preferred.
