Base Salary

$210k - $275k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Set and drive adoption of frontend and backend architecture for the biller-workflow platform across the RCM engineering organization.
  • Establish shared component, design-system, data-fetching, API-contract, testing, and observability standards.
  • Lead cross-cutting technical problems involving large-scale data tables, virtualized rendering, queue-backed bulk operations, auditability, and claim activity timelines.
  • Embed AI into billing workflows for claim comparison, submission-error reasoning, and rule suggestions where it reduces user friction.
  • Conduct architecture and code reviews and mentor engineers across multiple teams.
  • Own production reliability and performance, including rendering, query performance, replica-lag handling, and claim-submission pipeline health.
  • Partner with product, design, and billing operations to improve billing workflows through rapid feedback loops.

Requirements

  • 8+ years building large-scale, full-stack applications and setting technical direction across multiple teams.
  • Experience leading organization-wide adoption of a design system or shared frontend component architecture.
  • Ability to diagnose and fix React rendering bottlenecks in complex, data-dense user interfaces.
  • Strong API and data-layer design experience, including filtering, grouping, pagination, and query optimization for large datasets.
  • Track record leading multi-month, multi-team initiatives such as large migrations or platform rebuilds.
  • Deep expertise in TypeScript, React, Python, and PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, debugging, and observability practices.
  • Strong communication, ownership, bias for action, and ability to align leadership and engineering teams.
  • Preferred experience with StarRocks, ClickHouse, or Druid alongside PostgreSQL.
  • Preferred familiarity with healthcare billing data, EDI X12 transactions, clearinghouses, ERAs/EOBs, and denial codes.
  • Preferred experience shipping LLM-powered features into production workflows.
  • Preferred product intuition and experience influencing UX/UI decisions.
  • Preferred experience with frontend developer tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Preferred experience in regulated industries with a focus on security and compliance.
