Responsibilities
- Define the long-term technical vision and strategy for a domain and architect complex subsystems with cross-product considerations.
- Design, build, maintain, and simplify scalable, high-quality backend systems and microservices capable of high throughput and high availability.
- Lead efficient technical initiatives that impact multiple groups and drive cross-organizational technical alignment.
- Represent the technical vision internally and externally while identifying emerging fintech technology trends.
- Develop technical talent, foster future technical leaders, and champion engineering quality and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to backend infrastructure that helps millions of users reach their financial goals.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of related experience in backend software engineering.
- Proven experience architecting and maintaining microservices in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience building high-throughput, highly available systems serving millions of users.
- Deep experience with Java and strong understanding of cloud platforms, with AWS experience preferred.
- Ability to communicate convincingly with diverse stakeholders and build cross-organizational relationships.
- Proven technical thought leadership, including generating intellectual property and serving as a technical reference point.
- Passion for fintech or startup environments and fluency in English.
