Responsibilities
- Build and maintain agentic memory using knowledge and context graphs containing database schemas, runbooks, query templates, and escalation policies.
- Build closed-loop evaluation infrastructure with tracing, replay, golden-trace regression, PR gating, and domain-grounded scoring.
- Develop dynamic causal planners and specialized tools for database workflows beyond off-the-shelf MCP.
- Take agentic systems through platform, identity, and integration layers into production and operate them across hundreds of incidents per week.
- Build guardrails and telemetry for context-drift detection, activation instrumentation, and failure-mode analysis.
- Partner with database engineering teams to create paved paths, deduplication, and quality gates for a trustworthy shared library.
- Build automation for root-cause analysis, capacity planning, anomalous-event detection, and self-remediation.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience.
- Hands-on experience building and shipping full-stack, full-lifecycle agentic AI systems in production.
- Experience with LLM orchestration, tool and MCP integration, retrieval and knowledge grounding, and evaluation.
- Strong programming skills in Python and Java in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and experience shipping and operating production software at scale.
- Ability to design reliable agents with grounding, evaluation, guardrails, and controls for hallucination, context drift, and incorrect remediation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence engineering teams without formal authority.
- Background and experience in Data Science are highly desirable.
- Experience with large-scale distributed databases or multi-tenant SaaS architectures is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with MLflow, Airflow, Trino, knowledge graphs, and model-agnostic gateways across frontier models is a plus.
