Responsibilities
- Design and architect backend systems using object-oriented programming methodologies and design patterns.
- Develop high-performance backend services and API-to-API integrations with Java, Spring Boot, Python, Flask, JSON, and SQL databases.
- Build front-end service layers supporting user-interface requirements with Angular and React.
- Integrate machine-learning components into microservices and collaborate on scalable distributed systems.
- Build Docker images and deploy applications across Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure.
- Write unit tests, debug performance issues, conduct security reviews, and support architectural governance.
- Collaborate with distributed teams using Agile Scrum practices and tools including JIRA, Rally, Team Foundation Server, and Version One.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of backend application development experience using object-oriented programming, Java, Python, Docker, Linux shell scripting, and SQL.
- 3–5 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure across storage, compute, and Kubernetes services.
- Strong knowledge of server-oriented architectures, web applications, API gateways, and REST services.
- Experience developing and deploying scalable AI/ML microservices and identifying performance challenges.
- Experience with code repositories and version control systems including Git and Artifactory repositories.
- Experience working in distributed teams and with Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Minimum bachelor’s degree, including a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Master of Business Administration.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be a US citizen and eligible to obtain a clearance.
