Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and direction to business teams, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
- Drive decisions affecting product design, application functionality, technical operations, and engineering processes.
- Serve as a function-wide subject-matter expert in one or more focus areas.
- Advocate for firmwide software development lifecycle frameworks, tools, and practices.
- Influence peers and project decision-makers to adopt leading-edge technologies where appropriate.
- Build and operate 24x7, tier-1 online services.
- Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and respectful engineering culture.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on coding and system design experience for modern enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in one or more of Rust, Java, Go, or C++.
- A proven track record building and operating 24x7, tier-1 online services.
- Practical experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Ability to independently solve design and functionality problems with little to no oversight.
- Preferred familiarity with open-source OLAP and data-stack projects, including Apache DataFusion, DuckDB, and Apache Arrow Flight SQL.
