Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and optimize C++ pricing engines and related pricing and risk-management projects.
- Perform requirements, design, and code reviews while applying development guidelines, design standards, and best practices.
- Analyze business processes and translate requirements into technical solutions and task items.
- Support continuous builds, automated deployments, business continuity, platform operations, software releases, and production support.
- Identify business risks and enhance controls across the organization.
- Own end-to-end technical delivery of small and medium-sized projects.
- Mentor a small team of 2–4 technical performers and oversee the day-to-day operations of junior data team members.
- Participate in scrum and sprint rituals and collaborate with business stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience building low-latency pricing engines in C++.
- Experience with concurrency, threading, performance optimization, smart pointers, caching fundamentals, and memory or thread pooling.
- Foundation-level knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and performance-oriented design.
- Experience with optimization, maintenance, and production support in large enterprises.
- Strong problem-solving skills and moderate to good mathematical ability.
- Experience mentoring a small team of 2–4 highly qualified technical performers.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to extract critical business concepts and convert them into technical tasks.
- Ability to lead and work in an Agile methodology environment.
- Working knowledge of emerging generative AI technology is desired.
- Prior experience in capital markets or trading firms is a strong plus.
