Responsibilities
- Design and develop low-level software integrating new Arm architecture features across Linux, Android, and related userspace components.
- Architect, develop, and optimize core OS subsystems for performance, power efficiency, and security.
- Lead complex technical investigations into performance, optimization, and protection issues.
- Conduct code reviews, influence designs, and contribute to upstream open-source communities.
- Partner with Arm architecture and silicon teams to deliver support for new architectural features.
- Mentor and technically guide junior and mid-level engineers.
Requirements
- Proficiency in C and C++ and strong understanding of OS internals such as memory management, scheduling, or virtualization.
- Experience with software profiling, instrumentation, optimization, technical discussions, code reviews, and upstream open-source collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, interpersonal, written, and spoken English skills.
- Familiarity with Android internals and at least one CPU architecture, preferably Armv8-A or newer, is desirable.
- Familiarity with Python, Rust or another memory-safe language, and LLVM-based compiler toolchains is desirable.
- Exposure to technical leadership, project coordination, or interest in developing line-management skills is desirable.
