Responsibilities
- Write functional, design, and test-plan specifications for EOS features related to internet traffic forwarding and cloud data centers.
- Implement C and C++ solutions for EOS software and develop automated test programs.
- Debug issues found by automated and system tests and deliver fixes.
- Work on routing protocol problems and support customer network troubleshooting through software releases or patches.
- Collaborate with Customer Support Engineers, System Test Engineers, marketing, and project leads.
- Mentor new and junior engineers and review team members’ specifications and implementations.
- Help schedule implementation and debugging work, provide weekly updates, and report progress to the project lead.
Requirements
- BSc, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years of related postgraduate work experience.
- Knowledge of C and/or C++.
- Knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
- Understanding of networking concepts such as L2 and L3 and commercial switching hardware is ideally expected.
