Responsibilities
- Write functional, design, and test-plan specifications for EOS features related to internet traffic forwarding and cloud data centers.
- Implement C and C++ software solutions for EOS and contribute to larger routing protocol projects.
- Create and execute automated tests, monitor test results, debug failures, and fix defects.
- Analyze customer network and system-test issues and provide software releases or patches.
- Collaborate with marketing, customer support, system test, and project teams throughout development and deployment.
- Mentor new and junior engineers and review other team members’ specifications and implementations.
- Create and maintain implementation and debugging schedules and report progress to the project lead.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
- 5+ years of related post-graduate work experience.
- Knowledge of C and/or C++.
- Knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
- Understanding of networking concepts such as Layer 2, Layer 3, and commercial switching hardware is ideal.
