Responsibilities
- Contribute to LLVM compiler development for Arm and upstream projects.
- Shape optimization strategies and guide technical decisions to maximize application and benchmark performance.
- Analyze performance bottlenecks on Arm hardware and improve profiling and benchmarking methodologies.
- Mentor engineers within the LLVM team and the wider community.
- Lead upstream contributions and represent Arm in the LLVM ecosystem.
- Collaborate with internal Arm teams and partners to define priorities and deliver integrated solutions.
- Champion process and quality improvements in software development workflows.
Requirements
- Excellent programming skills in C and C++.
- LLVM open-source community experience, including code commits and reviews.
- Hands-on experience analyzing performance bottlenecks.
- Experience with low-level software or hardware development involving computer architecture specifications, such as compilers, debuggers, or models.
- Proficiency in software development, coding, testing, debugging, and code review.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Preferred experience with Profile Guided Optimization, computer architecture, Linux performance analysis tools, system-level performance tuning, build systems, and CI.
- Familiarity with Scrum or Kanban is preferred.
