Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and debug low-level reference application processor firmware.
- Create software stacks for Arm reference platforms and future Arm devices.
- Develop test code and automation solutions to reduce manual testing and development work.
- Analyze industry specifications and roadmap requirements, break down tasks, and help implement project plans.
- Perform software validation on software models, development boards, shipping products, and pre-silicon and post-silicon platforms.
- Contribute to upstreaming and ongoing software maintenance.
Requirements
- Excellent C/C++ programming skills, including implementing significant functionality and analyzing and fixing complex defects.
- Demonstrated experience in software testing or software development.
- Strong understanding of application and low-level systems, system architecture preferably involving Arm, OS fundamentals, bootloaders, and device drivers.
- Proficiency in Linux or Windows operating systems and driver development is preferred.
- Understanding of test methodologies, test automation, and CI.
- Strong debugging, interpersonal, written, and spoken English skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Python, shell scripting, Rust, Linux kernel and Android internals, open-source contribution processes, profiling, instrumentation, optimization, firmware validation, and Security Development Lifecycle practices.
