Responsibilities

  • Design and develop secure Java backend application components across distributed systems.
  • Implement authentication, authorization, identity federation, MFA, OAuth-based authorization, token lifecycle management, and fraud detection logic.
  • Develop secure APIs, perform unit testing, validate security requirements, debug application issues, and troubleshoot production environments.
  • Deploy and maintain secure applications using AWS, Linux/Unix environments, and Git-based development workflows.
  • Collaborate with application development, fraud and risk, security engineering, and infrastructure teams.
  • Participate in client-facing meetings, vendor integrations, external partnerships, and implementations involving 3-D Secure payment authentication.
  • Implement security controls, monitoring mechanisms, audit logging, and compliance processes aligned with PCI and PSD2.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, fraud patterns, and system risks and implement corrective measures.
  • Provide effort estimates, support delivery planning, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus four years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
  • Alternatively, a master’s degree in one of the listed fields plus two years of experience in the specified skills.
  • Experience developing secure, scalable backend components and authentication, authorization, fraud detection, and risk assessment functionality with Java.
  • Experience developing and consuming APIs for distributed-system integration and secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments, including application deployment, runtime configuration, monitoring, and production troubleshooting.
  • Experience using Git for source control, change tracking, and deployment workflows.
  • Experience with AWS for developing, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable applications and cloud infrastructure.
