Base Salary
$118k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement production-quality features in the Temporal Proxy codebase, primarily in Go or a comparable systems language.
- Build and improve request handling, configuration, authentication and authorization integrations, and encryption-related hooks.
- Add and maintain logs, metrics, and traces, and contribute to staging and production debugging.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests to improve correctness and prevent regressions.
- Collaborate with CGS, Security, Infra Foundations, and OSS Server engineers on scoped projects.
- Improve developer experience through documentation, examples, and operational usability improvements.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Go or another systems language and the ability to ramp quickly into an existing codebase.
- Working knowledge of service-to-service communication and distributed-systems fundamentals, including HTTP and gRPC.
- Familiarity with mTLS, JWT, and OIDC/OAuth concepts.
- Ability to implement scoped solutions end-to-end, including testing and documentation, and communicate progress clearly.
- Experience with proxy or gateway systems, cloud networking, service mesh concepts, or security-oriented infrastructure is preferred.
- Experience with observability tooling, on-call debugging, incident follow-ups, or performance testing is preferred.
- Open-source contributions and familiarity with Temporal concepts are preferred.
