Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical designs.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns, developing standard procedures, and maintaining code quality.
- Enhance and maintain applications, conduct peer reviews, and participate in architecture and code reviews.
- Debug distributed systems and cloud-based solutions and investigate new technologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, product stakeholders, and customer support to resolve technical problems.
- Lead project work, mentor less experienced developers, and make independent technical decisions.
- Apply AI-native practices, automation, and LLM-related innovation to improve software engineering and business productivity.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in Java full-stack development and Java Enterprise Edition.
- At least 4 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Strong experience leading architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, and extensive debugging.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Experience with React, Pulsar, and Snowflake is preferred.
- Experience with software security-enhancing tools and practices and at least one shell scripting language.
- At least 3 years of experience developing mission-critical, low-latency solutions for large business environments.
- At least 2 years of experience developing and debugging distributed systems and working with cloud-based big data systems.
- Understanding of big data, machine learning, LLMs, automation, and engineering toolchains.
- Ability to lead across business strategy, product strategy, technical design, implementation, and cross-functional delivery.
