Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design software to implement formal requirements and review proposed designs from others.
- Implement, debug, identify root causes, and correct software defects.
- Design and oversee implementation of cloud computing websites incorporating AI capabilities.
- Create and maintain formal software design documentation, including cybersecurity components.
- Plan sprints and groom the team backlog.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and assist with technical problem solving and design oversight.
- Support customer releases and work with product management to respond to customer comments.
- Assist other groups with understanding product behavior.
- Support cybersecurity planning, secure coding, dependency management, and compliance with internal policies.
- Perform hands-on hardware testing, setup, troubleshooting, and related laboratory activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, or a closely related field.
- At least five years of professional experience with cloud computing platforms and systems engineering.
- Hands-on experience integrating custom datasets with AI for analysis and reporting, building applications with large language models, and training custom models.
- Experience developing on Windows IoT and Linux using C/C++, C#, and Python.
- Experience migrating legacy architectures to modern cloud and web solutions.
- Hands-on exposure to Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
- Strong working knowledge of MS-SQL, MySQL, Postgres, and Entity Framework.
- Familiarity with Git-based version control using GitLab and GitHub.
- Experience working in and managing Agile development, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and scrum-master activities.
- Hands-on experience addressing application-level vulnerabilities through secure coding and dependency management.
- Strong communication, mentoring, collaboration, prioritization, process-improvement, and English-language skills.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada is required.
- Ability to travel internationally, including to the United States.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move test hardware and equipment weighing up to 30 pounds and work in an electronics laboratory environment.
- Ability to perform hands-on testing involving small components, cables, connectors, test fixtures, hand tools, and extended standing or sitting.
