Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise Kubernetes clusters in GKE using Terraform.
- Design and implement golden paths and automation strategies for developer self-service.
- Create and maintain infrastructure that enables teams to build and deploy safely and efficiently.
- Provide technical expertise and support for GCP and Kubernetes-related questions.
- Support SOC2, ISO-27001, and Cyber Essentials compliance in cloud environments.
- Participate in the rolling on-call rota.
- Create developer-focused documentation and self-service solutions.
Requirements
- Extensive experience administering and optimising large-scale Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes tooling such as Helm and kustomize.
- Strong experience with GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD.
- Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform services and architecture.
- Strong knowledge of GKE and Kubernetes, including production cluster maintenance and optimisation.
- Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Solid programming skills in Python and/or TypeScript.
- Experience creating developer-focused documentation and self-service solutions.
- Strong customer empathy and focus on supporting internal teams.
- Experience with AWS and CDK is a plus.
- Experience with cloud compliance standards such as SOC2 and ISO-27001 is beneficial.
- Familiarity with Datadog and cloud infrastructure security best practices is beneficial.
