
Software Engineer II
Cox AutomotiveResponsibilities
- Build and maintain enterprise connectors for AWS Quick, including API integrations, authentication, error handling, and data access for AI agents.
- Develop and maintain Python APIs, data pipelines, agent skills, platform tooling, and AI Artifact Hub features.
- Implement software features end to end, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and production monitoring.
- Help enforce integration standards and support teams publishing MCP servers to the enterprise connector catalog.
- Contribute to AI platform capabilities including RAG, knowledge ingestion, embeddings, agent orchestration, evaluation frameworks, and access control.
- Build metrics, logging, alerting, dashboards, automated evaluation suites, and human-in-the-loop feedback systems.
- Maintain GitHub Actions pipelines and Terraform infrastructure as code with guidance from senior engineers.
- Participate in design discussions, documentation, code reviews, and an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and two years of related experience, or an alternative combination such as a master’s degree with up to two years of experience or 14 years of related experience.
- At least two years of professional software development experience building production applications or services.
- Proficiency in Python for APIs, scripts, or data processing logic.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services or another major cloud provider.
- Experience with Git, pull requests, code reviews, APIs, REST, authentication patterns, and third-party service integrations.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to AI/ML tools, AI APIs, prompt engineering, AI-enabled features, Terraform, GitHub Actions, MCP, Snowflake, Databricks, data platforms, authorization models, FinOps, knowledge graphs, embeddings, vector databases, search systems, event-driven architectures, serverless computing, internal tools, developer platforms, or enterprise environments.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship.
- Willingness to work in the office three days per week and participate in an on-call rotation.
