Responsibilities
- Own mobile system architecture, technical patterns, and high-level design decisions for scalable Flutter applications.
- Define and enforce benchmarks for startup time, memory footprint, frame rates, and overall mobile performance.
- Evaluate mobile technologies and execute native add-to-app integrations and legacy-code migration strategies.
- Define mobile security baselines including certificate pinning, obfuscation, and anti-tampering logic.
- Contribute hands-on code to complex systems and core framework libraries.
- Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization for high-severity mobile production issues.
- Standardize CI/CD pipelines, fastlane release automation, and app store submission processes across mobile teams.
- Align technical roadmaps and architectural patterns with Product Managers, Heads of Streams, Team Leads, and cross-functional teams.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, technical roadmaps, and personal development planning.
- Drive engineering culture through technical documentation, architecture reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of commercial software development experience, including at least 3 years dedicated to Flutter and Dart.
- Hands-on experience with native iOS using Swift or Android using Kotlin.
- Strong system design and architectural skills, including mastery of Dart isolates, asynchronous programming, null safety, and the Flutter rendering pipeline.
- Experience with state management using Bloc or Riverpod, unit/widget/integration testing, and monorepos using Melos.
- Experience handling high-frequency real-time data through WebSockets, long-lived connections, and protobuf/JSON serialization.
- Knowledge of mobile security standards and experience making technical decisions balancing quality and delivery speed.
- Experience with native add-to-app Flutter integration, incremental migrations, CMS-driven or server-driven UI, localization, feature toggles, deep linking, and multi-jurisdictional deployment is preferred.
- Experience profiling mobile performance with DevTools, the Impeller engine, jank diagnosis, and memory leak isolation is preferred.
- Familiarity with App Store and Google Play review requirements for gambling and betting applications is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and mentor engineers.
