Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate components of the Host Assurance platform.
- Ensure hosts are verifiably trustworthy from delivery to production use.
- Build and improve systems for machine identity and certificate management.
- Validate hardware and firmware against vendor claims.
- Eliminate insecure bootstrap patterns while maintaining operational reliability.
- Contribute code and design guidance for foundational trust services.
- Define observable security properties for host platforms.
- Participate in incident response and post-incident improvements.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience in reliable production systems.
- Deep expertise in domains such as PKI, HSMs, or applied cryptography.
- Comfortable working across systems boundaries from APIs to hardware.
- Ability to write production-quality code and reason about failure modes.
- Experience replacing fragile security mechanisms with durable infrastructure.
- Balance rigor with pragmatism in deploying security controls.
- Self-directed and willing to collaborate across disciplines.
