Responsibilities
- Develop strategic FIX client-facing and market-facing connectivity for cash equities.
- Design and implement low-latency Java and microservices solutions for real-time order management.
- Build event-based, high-throughput components supporting the end-to-end cash equities trade lifecycle.
- Partner with product owners and business sponsors to define requirements and align priorities.
- Improve test automation, deployment automation, release quality, and delivery speed.
- Advance continuous delivery maturity through stronger pipelines, tooling, and engineering practices.
- Use Linux or UNIX command-line tooling for development, diagnosis, and production support.
- Collaborate with trading desks and geographically distributed technology teams across multiple trading hubs.
Requirements
- Substantial hands-on software engineering experience with low-latency or real-time systems.
- Strong Core Java and microservices design experience for low-latency architectures, including Zero Garbage Collection approaches.
- Effective day-to-day use of the Linux or UNIX command line.
- Strong knowledge of the FIX protocol and cash equities order flows, including DMA, DSA, managed trading, and Program Trading.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tooling such as Groovy, Jenkins, logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to communicate effectively with Sales and Trading desks and internal technology teams.
- Experience delivering across the full software development lifecycle from requirements through implementation.
- Ability to partner with business and IT stakeholders in a geographically distributed, multicultural organization.
