Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop reusable cloud architecture patterns and platform services, including high-availability, disaster recovery, and multi-region deployment strategies.
- Manage Kubernetes and Docker containerization environments for microservices application development.
- Develop automation tools and cloud-native services using Python, Go, Java, or Bash.
- Build self-service platform capabilities, APIs, and integrations that improve developer productivity.
- Lead DevOps initiatives covering CI/CD, deployment automation, orchestration, build, testing, security scanning, release, rollback, and standardization.
- Implement cloud security, IAM, secrets management, encryption, policy enforcement, and enterprise compliance controls.
- Improve deployment frequency, reliability, observability, and release automation.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring, participate in architecture reviews, and evaluate new technologies and cloud services.
- Lead cloud transformation and automation initiatives, investigate complex production incidents, and define long-term corrective actions.
- Design, develop, modify, validate, test, debug, review, document, and integrate software modules for large-scale products and systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 4+ years of related experience; or a master's degree and 3+ years; or a PhD and 2+ years.
- 2+ years of experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
- Knowledge of programming and demonstrated interest in automation.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree in a relevant field and 8+ years of software engineering or related experience.
- Preferred experience includes 3+ years with database management software, 3+ years with APIs, and at least 1 year with Git, Perforce, or another source code management system.
- Experience with cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, container orchestration, CI/CD automation, monitoring, observability, and source control.
- Ability to work independently, make significant technical decisions, influence organizational outcomes, and guide other team members.
