Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications supporting Prime Brokerage business functions.
Own technical deliverables end to end, including solution design, implementation, code quality, and production readiness.
Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, and global technology teams to deliver technology solutions.
Use AI-assisted development tools and spec-driven development practices to improve productivity and delivery quality.
Build scalable applications using Java, Spring, databases, messaging, and JavaScript technologies.
Contribute to technical design, architecture discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

8+ years of professional software development experience, including mandatory experience in a financial-services organization.
Mandatory experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms, combined with spec-driven development practices.
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring-based application development.
Strong understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.
Strong knowledge of relational databases and SQL; NoSQL exposure is a plus.
Understanding of SDLC practices including testing, code quality, release management, and production support.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to navigate large codebases.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with global teams and senior stakeholders.
Prime Brokerage or Securities Lending experience is preferred.
Exposure to messaging or streaming platforms such as MQ or Kafka is preferred.
Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React is preferred.
Experience with Behavior-Driven Development and automated testing is preferred.
