Base Salary
$143k - $304k/yr
Responsibilities
- Discover, validate, and analyze vulnerabilities across Microsoft products, cloud services, and strategic open-source ecosystems.
- Design and develop scalable automation, AI-driven systems, and research tooling for vulnerability discovery, triage, and remediation.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to improve security posture and reduce customer risk.
- Lead or contribute to offensive security assessments involving emerging threats, novel attack techniques, and systemic weaknesses.
- Publish technical findings and influence open-source projects or large-scale software systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Security, or a related field plus 6+ years of applicable experience, or a master’s degree plus 4+ years, or a doctorate plus 3+ years; equivalent experience is accepted.
- Preferred experience includes vulnerability research, vulnerability discovery, exploit development, reverse engineering, or offensive security research, including publicly disclosed CVEs or security advisories.
- Preferred participation in recognized security competitions or research programs such as Capture The Flag, DARPA AI Cyber Challenge, Pwn2Own, or similar initiatives.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
