Base Salary
$191k - $334k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build core platform APIs for context retrieval, risk scoring, entity resolution, data contracts, and coverage queries.
- Build and operate asynchronous data pipelines using a message bus and governed schema registry.
- Integrate SIEM, identity governance, asset inventory, and knowledge graph data sources.
- Own platform workstreams from scoping through delivery and coordinate across teams.
- Write design proposals, participate in the RFC process, and review other engineers' designs and code.
- Mentor partner-team engineers and maintain usable technical documentation.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional software engineering experience, including operating production systems, or similar experience with education.
- Expert-level Python experience in large-scale data processing, API development, and production testing.
- Deep hands-on Splunk experience, including SPL, data onboarding and normalization, search performance tuning, and Splunk APIs.
- Experience owning architecture for distributed or data-intensive systems, including service and API boundaries and design tradeoffs.
- Cybersecurity experience in security operations, detection engineering, threat detection, incident response, or security data engineering.
- Experience owning initiatives from ambiguous problem statements through delivery while coordinating across teams.
- Experience leveraging or critically evaluating AI in work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
- Preferred experience with statistical analysis, feature engineering, anomaly detection, or models using noisy operational data.
- Preferred applied AI or ML experience, especially LLM systems, retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge graphs, or agentic workflows.
- Preferred experience with identity governance, asset inventory platforms, data contracts, or governance models.
