Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain frontend applications with JavaScript, React, and TypeScript alongside backend services using Golang and AWS.
- Build and optimize high-performance web components for XR headsets and immersive and 2D environments.
- Lead large, complex, cross-team projects by defining scope, planning execution, and delivering milestones on time.
- Collaborate with architects, UX designers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into product features.
- Shape system design and architecture across cloud and web environments, improving scalability and performance.
- Lead technical discussions, align outcomes with business goals, and document solutions.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and anticipate future development needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software design and development experience, with an emphasis on frontend development.
- Deep hands-on experience building complex, performance-sensitive web applications with JavaScript and working knowledge of React and TypeScript.
- Experience with browser performance profiling, rendering bottlenecks, DOM and JavaScript engine limitations, and CPU-constrained applications.
- Experience with real-time communication technologies such as WebSockets and Microsoft Fluid, and data formats including JSON and Protobuf.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, concurrency, distributed systems, browser event loops, and rendering pipelines.
- Experience with Electron, AWS services including S3, Git, and GitHub.
- Preferred qualifications include an MS degree, ThreeJS or WebXR experience, resilient AWS cloud-native architecture, full-stack experience, SQL and NoSQL databases, Docker, Unreal Engine, AR/VR/MR, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Terraform, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Benefits
- Remote role; Canada-based positions have a stated starting base salary range of $107,000 to $157,300 CAD, with potential bonuses, stock grants, and comprehensive benefits.
- The role may require in-person onboarding and/or in-person identity verification.
