Responsibilities
- Build and launch frontend products and features for Reddit’s Feed pages in collaboration with product, design, backend, and client engineering teams.
- Own the full development cycle for major projects, including design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch.
- Write and review code and design documents, provide feedback on product specifications and mocks, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Improve developer workflows and engineering standards, recommend best practices, and mentor engineers.
- Support metrics-led execution, operational excellence, system observability, and roadmap planning.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience in one or more frontend-focused programming languages, including JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with frontend web frameworks such as LIT, Polymer, React, Vue, or Angular, along with CSS experience.
- BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong focus on user experience and usability, with experience in social products considered a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, self-direction, and prioritization skills.
- Experience with GraphQL, HTTP, Thrift basics, and maintainable API design and implementation is a plus.
- Understanding of large-scale web applications, high requests per second, and complex pages is a major plus.

- Base salary range is $190,800—$267,100 USD, with potential equity and commission eligibility depending on the position; compensation figures are excluded from benefits classification.
