Responsibilities
- Lead backend solution design, architecture, and implementation across delivery teams.
- Guide coding, testing, deployment, CI/CD, DevOps, operational support, and asset maintenance.
- Mentor developers and quality engineers and lead technical discussions without direct authority.
- Ensure solutions are performant, maintainable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business and customer needs.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Operations, Security, Data, Tech Enablement, Product, architects, and stakeholders.
- Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, implement fixes, and maintain service reliability.
- Coordinate onshore and offshore teams across time zones and participate in agile ceremonies.
- Provide architectural oversight for Amazon Connect call flows, routing, queues, and Lambda integrations.
- Support integrations between Amazon Connect, CRM, backend systems, and Salesforce.
- Maintain technical design, process, and operational documentation.
Requirements
- Strong backend software design, development, and architecture experience, with Java and Spring strongly preferred.
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices at scale.
- Experience with AWS cloud services, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, and JMeter, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Exposure to Amazon Connect, including call flows, routing profiles, queues, and Lambda integrations.
- Understanding of IVR design, telephony concepts, SIP, PSTN, and CTI.
- Experience or familiarity with Salesforce integrations, particularly Service Cloud and CTI in contact-centre environments.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams and coordinate across onshore/offshore delivery models.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical decision-making skills.
- React or Next.js familiarity is a plus but not required.
- AWS Solutions Architect or Developer certification, Agile certifications such as CSM or SAFe, and telecommunications, utilities, or subscription-services experience are preferred.
