Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build orchestration systems that schedule and coordinate experiments across distributed laboratories.
- Develop infrastructure connecting AI agents with experiments and laboratory instruments.
- Design data systems that capture state, actions, measurements, failures, and provenance.
- Architect distributed systems coordinating software, devices, and experiments reliably.
- Create developer tools and APIs for new workflows and integrations.
- Debug and optimize systems across software, hardware, and physical environments.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of professional experience building production-grade software systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python or Rust with experience building production backend or distributed systems.
- Experience designing distributed systems involving APIs, networking, and asynchronous communication.
- Early-stage startup engineering experience and the ability to take ownership in an ambiguous environment.
- Systems-level debugging skills, ideally across hardware, firmware, and software.
- Experience with robotics, physical AI, agent systems, lab automation, ML infrastructure, data infrastructure, orchestration, or developer tooling is beneficial.
- Biology experience is not required.
