Responsibilities
- Automate testing processes and create scripts for high-level regression testing.
- Design test plans, test scenarios, test cases, estimates, and related testing documentation.
- Execute functional and automated tests, analyze results, and provide detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems and follow issues through closure.
- Investigate, report, and retest defects after fixes using Rally and JIRA.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Manage testing projects from requirements gathering through reporting.
- Collaborate with development and quality assurance teams to create and maintain process measurements.
- Share relevant technical and industry knowledge with other resources.
- Work effectively with virtual teams across multiple locations.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of software testing experience focused on functional testing and test documentation.
- At least 3 years of automation and SQL experience, including querying and manipulating data for analysis and testing.
- Knowledge of SOAP API and REST API technologies for automation testing is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Swagger and Postman is preferred.
- Expertise across SDLC and STLC activities, including requirements analysis, test planning, test case design, test estimation, test automation, test execution, defect management, test reporting, and reviews.
- Experience with JIRA, Rally, Jenkins, and Git.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, learning agility, and ability to work independently.
- Agile working experience and financial services industry knowledge are additional advantages.
- Knowledge of generative AI platforms such as GitHub Copilot is an additional advantage.
