Responsibilities
- Design, architect, develop, test, debug, document, and maintain scalable backend applications and services.
- Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, feasibility, estimation, implementation, testing, release, and support.
- Perform database design and development and optimize database structures and queries for spatial data.
- Apply secure coding practices, support data protection compliance, and optimize system performance using monitoring feedback.
- Conduct code reviews and oversee the development pipeline from development through production using automation.
- Work with Azure cloud services, microservices orchestration, distributed systems, caching, and observability tools.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior developers.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in architecture, tooling, and development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 6 years of backend or full-stack development experience.
- At least 4 years of experience with microservices, C#/.NET 6/7/8, Entity Framework Core, REST APIs, and preferably FastEndpoints.
- At least 4 years of database development experience with PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or an equivalent relational database management system.
- Experience with event-driven architecture, distributed systems, microservices orchestration using AKS/Kubernetes, and caching strategies such as Redis.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or related CI/CD solutions and Azure cloud services.
- Experience with Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure App Configuration, and Application Insights.
- Experience with unit test frameworks such as xUnit and project management tools such as JIRA.
- Okta or Auth0 experience is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate with software development teams, work independently, learn new technologies, and communicate and document effectively.
