Responsibilities
- Design and implement static analysis checks, rules, and inter-procedural analysis algorithms.
- Expand Qodana capabilities for license compliance, security, and vulnerability detection.
- Optimize code analysis execution paths and orchestrate performance based on project context.
- Build and refine CI/CD integrations across development workflows.
- Collaborate with JetBrains compiler and IDE teams.
- Own features from concept through release, gathering feedback and iterating on implementations.
- Help shape the technical direction of Qodana Core and improve static analysis performance and developer experience.
Requirements
- Deep, practical knowledge of JVM development, such as Kotlin or Java.
- Experience designing and implementing complex algorithms or handling performance-critical backend architectures.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Curiosity about code structure, compilers, and static analysis.
- Experience with developer tooling, static analysis, application security, or LLM-based applications is a plus.
- Familiarity with C++, Rust, JavaScript or TypeScript, Python, .NET, or Go is valuable.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in distributed, international teams.
