Responsibilities
- Collaborate with globally distributed teams across multiple regions.
- Manage and contribute to multiple projects while ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
- Design, develop, and maintain distributed systems using Java/J2EE technologies.
- Work across databases, relational database management systems, batch processing, and application servers.
- Analyze complex technical challenges, research solutions, and drive issues through resolution.
- Contribute to technical design and implementation of scalable, robust system architectures.
- Engage stakeholders to communicate ideas, provide updates, and align on technical solutions.
- Identify improvements, drive initiatives, and optimize system performance and reliability.
- Articulate and defend technical decisions while maintaining an open, collaborative approach.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Java; Python knowledge is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Spring, Spring Batch, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
- Understanding of microservices-based architecture.
- Database development and debugging experience with stored procedures, Sybase, and/or DB2.
- NoSQL experience, preferably MongoDB.
- Knowledge of database design and modeling.
- Scripting knowledge using UNIX and/or Python.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, preferably computer science or engineering.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements, prioritize work, resolve complex problems, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Strong ownership, accountability, organization, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and client-focus skills.
- Ability to work with geographically dispersed teams, particularly teams in New York, London, Bangalore, and Mumbai.
- Cloud-native design experience, including Spark and Kafka, is advantageous.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google public cloud offerings is advantageous.
- Experience with UI frameworks is advantageous.
