Responsibilities
- Maintain reliability and performance across customer-facing services and foundational infrastructure.
- Lead Sev0/Sev1 incident response and participate in post-incident reviews and root cause analyses.
- Partner with Global Solutions teams to implement preventive solutions and long-term remediation.
- Automate detection and resolution of recurring production issues and reduce operational toil.
- Maintain monitoring and alerting systems and improve operational workflows.
- Ensure reliability activities align with compliance, security, and operational standards.
- Collaborate across teams, mentor teammates, and support continuous learning.
- Support a 24/7 operational environment, including night shifts and on-call rotations.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship without dual citizenship, operation on U.S. soil, and ability to complete the required government background investigations and screenings.
- A related technical degree.
- Demonstrated experience with enterprise-scale internet service operations or systems engineering.
- Expertise with TCP/IP technologies, networking protocols, or network programming.
- Command-line and administration experience with Unix variants such as Linux, Solaris, or BSD, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Solaris.
- Knowledge of security monitoring systems and infrastructure administration.
- Experience provisioning, operating, and running AWS/C2S infrastructure and systems.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python or Go.
- Ability to support 24/7 high-availability operations, including shift and on-call rotations.
- Familiarity with incident management principles and IT service operation frameworks.
- Preferred experience with Chef, Puppet, automated deployment, Jenkins, Bamboo, Spinnaker, monitoring and alert systems, Java applications, Kubernetes, and AWS CLI/SDKs.
- Preferred Linux+, Red Hat, or AWS certifications and experience with blameless retrospectives, resilience engineering, Agile, DevOps, and post-incident investigations.
- Preferred experience using Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or Cursor, along with advanced prompt engineering skills.
