Base Salary
$280k - $340k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the architectural direction for Blacksmith’s new products.
- Translate business and product strategy into long-term technical roadmaps and execution plans.
- Drive the development of new products from 0 to 1.
- Own production outcomes, including reliability, performance, and operational excellence.
- Mentor senior engineers and act as a force multiplier across the organization.
- Operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces where both the problem and solution must be defined.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise building products that customers love and leading technical direction from an early stage through broad industry recognition.
- Experience setting and leading the technical direction of a product as an individual contributor.
- Track record of leading through influence and shaping technical direction.
- Power-user experience with coding agents and interest in agentic development.
- Strong communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts to engineers, leadership, and non-technical stakeholders.
