Base Salary
$232k - $323k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own a large portion of an Ashby product and drive projects end-to-end from problem research through implementation.
- Research customers and competitors, write product specifications, make product and design decisions, and create wireframes and prototypes.
- Build and ship frontend, backend, and infrastructure components as needed to deliver high-quality product features.
- Create reusable abstractions, tools, and building blocks that increase engineering leverage and product flexibility.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, infrastructure engineers, and other stakeholders while communicating decisions and progress.
- Investigate customer issues and contribute to improving developer tooling, product quality, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading or owning complex projects from start to finish.
- Experience working through substantial product and technical ambiguity and building flexible abstractions for classes of problems.
- Ability to work across the technology stack, including frontend, backend, and infrastructure work.
- Strong product thinking, technical judgment, collaboration, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to balance speed and quality while working with urgency in a high-autonomy environment.
- Ambition, openness to feedback, and a track record of improving technical skills and creating leverage through automation or abstraction.
- Experience mentoring or collaborating with engineers and independently driving projects without relying on extensive process or oversight.
