Base Salary

$200k - $250k/yr

Responsibilities

Own product modules end to end, including customer discovery, architecture, API design, interface development, and delivery.
Build agent-enabled systems across conversational interfaces, web applications, command-line tools, and vendor integrations.
Move pricing and business logic into backend services and maintain typed pricing data models and robust APIs.
Establish testing, observability, deployment, security, and performance practices.
Investigate production issues, mentor teammates, and improve engineering practices for AI-assisted development.

At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including staff-level ownership of product areas at startups.
Strong backend experience with Python, FastAPI, MongoDB or a comparable stack, plus React and TypeScript skills.
Experience taking ambiguous customer problems from discovery through delivery, including versioned APIs, data models, and production operations.
Experience integrating AI features or agent-driven workflows; MCP-like tooling experience is preferred.
Familiarity with B2B SaaS monetization, including pricing, packaging, quoting, billing, or CPQ.
Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Base salary is $200,000 to $250,000 annually.
This is an on-site role in San Francisco, California; candidates must be based there or willing and able to relocate.
