
Lead Engineer C++/C#

Responsibilities
- Lead technical direction and engineering outcomes for a team of junior and senior developers.
- Conduct code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality.
- Troubleshoot complex cross-system issues and identify root causes.
- Work across multiple areas of the codebase while managing frequent context switching.
- Contribute to and lead architectural discussions and design decisions.
- Develop and maintain software across C++, C#, .NET Framework, Windows Forms, Interop, Node.js, TypeScript, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
- Collaborate with front-end components using JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Guide and mentor developers while supporting quality, architecture, and delivery.
Requirements
- 7–9 years of professional experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in C++ and/or C#, with the ability to work confidently across both.
- Demonstrated technical leadership, including guiding and mentoring development teams and owning engineering outcomes.
- Experience conducting code reviews and applying software quality best practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cross-system problems.
- Experience contributing to or leading architectural discussions and design decisions.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies, particularly JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, software architecture, and data structures.
- Strong critical-thinking and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to leadership.
- Preferred experience with media encoding or streaming tools such as FFmpeg and ImageMagick, distributed systems, Hono, and AWS.
