Base Salary
$169k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of device state and notifications, partner integration, and mobile application teams within Real Time Operations.
- Design and build major software components, systems, and features across cloud, web, and mobile environments.
- Review architecture designs and maintain high standards for availability, performance, usability, testing, and maintainability.
- Assess engineering risks and guide strategic technical investment across the organization.
- Mentor and coach senior software engineers and develop future technical leaders.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver the product roadmap and improve user safety and efficiency.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Demonstrated experience designing and building complex, highly available cloud systems.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases or other data storage systems.
- Experience with stream processing and message brokers.
- Experience mentoring and growing senior software engineers.
- Ability to collaborate with product and design teams and understand customer needs.
- Preferred experience with React, Redux, TypeScript, native iOS or Android applications, and maps or cartography.
