Responsibilities
- Design and implement automation for storage provisioning, capacity management, operational workflows, reporting, and self-service enablement.
- Build REST API integrations and scripted operational pipelines for NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, and network platforms.
- Own the storage automation backlog and reduce manual operational toil.
- Contribute to storage disaster recovery, platform upgrades, post-change validation, and Kubernetes-attached storage using Astra Trident.
- Engage stakeholders on capacity planning and platform roadmaps and produce architecture decision records, documentation, and runbooks.
- Own root-cause analysis delivery for storage incidents and implement permanent fixes through safe change practices.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python for infrastructure automation, REST API integrations, reporting tools, and scripted operational workflows.
- Solid Linux systems skills, including shell scripting, service management, and troubleshooting in enterprise Linux environments.
- Bash scripting experience for scheduled jobs, log parsing, and operational tooling.
- Strong communication skills and experience translating technical information into stakeholder-facing outputs and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with NetApp ONTAP, Pure Storage, SAN protocols, Cisco MDS zoning and host masking, Kubernetes storage concepts, Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps is preferred.
- Experience with enterprise ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow and familiarity with ITIL practice areas are preferred.
