Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Java applications and microservices.
- Contribute across requirements, design, build, test, and deployment phases of the SDLC.
- Design APIs, data flows, and system integrations and apply engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, QA, business analysts, and other engineers.
- Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies and promote coding standards.
- Debug complex technical issues and provide L2/L3 production support when required.
- Implement unit, integration, and automation testing and maintain technical documentation.
- Ensure secure coding practices, regulatory standards, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Own modules and features end-to-end, mentor junior developers, and guide best practices.
- Influence technical decisions and recommend improvements to architecture, tools, and processes.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Core Java and Java 8 or later.
- Experience with Spring Boot or the Spring Framework, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and concurrency.
- Experience with AWS and exposure to Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift, and GitLab pipelines.
- Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions.
- Experience with testing, production support, debugging, performance optimization, and system integrations.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate complex information.
- Ability to mentor junior developers and influence technical decisions within and across teams.
