Responsibilities
- Design, build, and lead feature development across ChampionAI platform repositories.
- Architect, maintain, and evolve MCP tool servers and multi-agent infrastructure.
- Improve system architecture, developer tooling, scaffolding, documentation, and onboarding.
- Debug complex technical issues, performance bottlenecks, and cloud-native agent-platform problems.
- Lead code and architecture reviews focused on prompt quality, scope enforcement, security/authentication configuration, and deployment setup.
- Mentor junior engineers and Applied AI engineers while establishing engineering standards and architectural guidance.
- Partner with DevOps, Cloud, and business-unit engineers on Kubernetes manifests, database registration, and feature-flag and prompt rollouts.
- Design and implement Champion agents for high-impact business-unit use cases.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience in enterprise SaaS environments, or 3+ years with a master's degree.
- Strong experience with Python, Golang, and cloud-native AI-driven systems.
- Understanding of Model Context Protocol, Agent-to-Agent protocol, multi-agent architectures, prompt engineering, and evaluation design.
- Proficiency with Python async development, FastAPI, Pydantic, pytest, pytest-asyncio, DeepEval, Docker, PostgreSQL, and Git.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead feature development, architectural reviews, and cross-team technical decisions.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and setting engineering standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: AWS services including ECR, EKS, and Bedrock; Kubernetes; Terraform; LaunchDarkly; Cursor; and Claude Code.
- Preferred: M.S. or M.Tech in Computer Science, AI, or ML, and experience in manufacturing or industrial software.
