Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain components for the DESYRE simulation environment.
- Perform quality assurance, bug triage, and resolution, including fixing DESYRE backend bugs.
- Engineer and mature features such as SysMLv2 integration in the DESYRE Model Builder.
- Apply models of computation and execution semantics across synchronous, discrete-event, continuous-time, and hybrid systems.
- Support compliance with and innovation in FMI, TLM, HLA, ED247, and DPC co-simulation and model-exchange standards.
- Provide technical leadership in software design, architecture patterns, and system integration.
- Collaborate with systems engineering, software engineering, model-based design, and test engineering teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering excellence across the enterprise.
Requirements
- BE, BTech, or MCA with at least 3 years of experience in C++, Simulink, and MATLAB.
- Experience with modeling principles including model management and model transformation, and simulation concepts including multi-formalism, hybrid simulation, and co-simulation.
- Knowledge of model-based theory, modeling and simulation environments, solvers, mathematical formalization, and discrete and continuous dynamics modeling.
- Expert knowledge of models of computation and execution semantics, including synchronous, discrete-event, continuous-time, and hybrid systems.
- Proven expertise with FMI, TLM, HLA, ED247, and DPC standards.
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and SystemC, with strong familiarity with IEEE Std 1666-2023.
- Strong background in software design principles, architecture, and system integration.
- Experience in aerospace or defense simulation or safety-critical systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines, model-based engineering, MBSE, digital engineering environments, and real-time or distributed simulation architecture is preferred.
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one is preferred.
