Responsibilities
- Own and deliver complex engineering problems across AI gateway capabilities, security guardrails, retrieval-augmented generation, and agentic platform services.
- Design and implement production-grade Go services focused on concurrency, latency, throughput, fault tolerance, and maintainability.
- Make technical decisions covering service boundaries, interface design, failure handling, observability, rollout safety, and long-term operability.
- Drive quality through code reviews, automated testing, performance validation, secure software design, and technical documentation.
- Translate loosely defined platform needs into clear designs, delivery slices, and durable technical solutions.
- Collaborate with principal and peer engineers to refine designs and improve platform architecture and execution.
- Mentor engineers and raise standards through technical depth, delivery consistency, and example-setting without formal line management.
Requirements
- Experience designing or operating gateway platforms, service control planes, or API mediation layers in complex enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with AI security controls including policy enforcement, access control, auditability, model governance, and runtime guardrails.
- Practical understanding of retrieval-augmented generation, including ingestion pipelines, embeddings, retrieval strategies, ranking, and answer-quality evaluation.
- Experience with agentic systems or platforms for building, orchestrating, and governing production-ready AI agents.
- Working knowledge of Golang and/or Python for platform tooling, integrations, experimentation, or related service development.
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native production systems, including deployment, networking, scaling, resilience, and operational troubleshooting.
- A record of improving engineering organizations through design reviews, technical standards, shared frameworks, or peer capability development.
- Candidates with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band than stated.
