Responsibilities

  • Design and implement high-performance systems while owning the full technical lifecycle from design to production.
  • Optimize low-latency and high-throughput systems.
  • Own system reliability through monitoring, garbage collection tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Diagnose production issues and provide service support.
  • Provide technical leadership through code quality, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of Java development experience focused on large-scale, mission-critical Java applications in a financial services environment.
  • Strong experience with low-latency and high-throughput systems.
  • Deep understanding of concurrency, including threading models, lock contention, memory visibility, and race-condition avoidance.
  • Strong verbal and written English, problem-solving ability, service support skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
